Filtered Water As the Ideal Detox Drink
The value and importance of hydration cannot be over emphasized. The human body consists of around sixty to seventy percent liquid and that should be enough said. The other big reason is that it is a detox drink of note.
The reality is that most people do not drink enough water in order to detoxify. Most people live on caffeine based coffee, tea and soft drinks to justify sufficient daily fluid intake. In truth, most Western people do not drink enough H20. This can be detrimental in the short and long term.
The body needs about seven to ten glasses of non-carbonated, non-flavored liquid per day. People fool themselves by thinking tea, coffee and even alcohol will suffice. These drinks will actually cause you to become thirstier instead of quenching your thirst.
The single biggest reason for the hangover is not enough water. Symptoms of a hangover could be avoided simply taking a large glass of it before retiring to bed at night. Another sure sign of not insufficient hydration is constipation. If you do not replenish your body’s fluids then the body will take the water from elsewhere in the body. This is needed to digest food and to perform various chemical reactions inside of your body.
Unfortunately, today much of the H20 in the world is less than satisfactory for human consumption. This problem exists even in Western countries. It is therefore highly advisable to ensure purity before drinking it.
Prozac, female contraceptives, chlorine and farm fertilizer has been reportedly found in water that we drink. It is too soon to document the long-term consequences of this, however diminished sperm counts in men has been reported around the world. This is thought to be linked to the impurities found in the H20 they drink.
For all of the above reasons it is important to detoxify at least once a year. Choose a reputable and well-referred detox program and then do it. Bottled H20 is also a better option that that on tap. Avoid H20 that has both high levels of dry solids and sodium.
Filtered water is the perfect choice for a refreshing, pure drink during a detox programme. The water is safe, however it should not be drank on a long-term basis. This water has no nutritional value and will eventually suck vital vitamins and minerals from the body. It has now become obvious as to why a detox drink is vital to your health.
