Also soluble fiber foods can help to lower bad cholesterol levels which can be good for the heart as well. Some of these foods may include oatmeal, barley, beans, okra, eggplant and oranges. Salmon and other fatty fish are good for the heart also because they contain omega 3s. They help with blood clotting, as well as lowering cholesterol levels and help with the long term risk of coronary heart disease.

The heart and body do so much for us. They keep us going, keep us strong, and help to keep us healthy but they can only do so much. The rest is up to the food and exercise choices we make throughout our lives. These foods will not only help your heart and body but may be helpful for weight loss and may help you to feel good about your choices.
