Colonics For Body Detoxification

Colonics For Body Detoxification

Colonics, also known as colon cleansing, also known as enemas, has been around for centuries. Initially used for a variety of treatments and maladies, these days it’s mainly used for treating constipation. However, it’s being used more often these days by people who are not only looking for colon health, but for body detoxification and as a weight loss device of some type.

For those who don’t know, the process involves having a plastic tube inserted into the rectum, then forcing water and often some type of solution into it in some fashion. The easiest way for many people to handle it is through a drip bag of some sort. However, one can also use a tiny bulb syringe or other items that can force water into the body.

I know of two people who have gone through this process on purpose. One is an elderly lady who kept having problems with constipation and ended up in the emergency room a few times because of it. The way it was administered to her left her with a feeling of relief, with the blockage gone, and finally after the third visit someone was able to figure out what to prescribe to her so she wouldn’t continue to have the problem.

The second was a friend of my wife’s, who felt that she needed to detoxify her body for a variety of reasons. Both times she felt extremely weak and drained afterward, and had severe cramping from it that stuck around for a couple of days, and decided that wasn’t the way she wanted to go. Indeed, if the wrong person does it one could end up with rectal bleeding, bacterial problems, and it could cause an electrolyte imbalance. They are known to cause abdominal pain, which means she should have stopped after the first one.

And, unfortunately, some people have learned that they can insert drugs or alcohol into their bodies through this process, and it absorbs faster into the body. Therefore, this entire process can be corrupted by the untrained, which can make it very dangerous. No one should be practicing this, or having it done, without a trained therapist.
